    “MSC Actions: Access key to European Research Funding”.

    Presentation Synopsis:

    “The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions in Horizon 2020 represent a significant opportunity for research-active organisations to secure European research funding, with a strong focus on collaboration between the private sector and academia. The MSC Actions fund all areas of research from science, engineering and technology through to social sciences, humanities and business.  This talk will summarise the various funding streams under the MSC Actions, helping organisations to identify the best funding for their needs. It will include a particular focus on the new Society and Enterprise Fellowships, a dedicated funding stream for fully-funded 2-year research fellowships based in the private or voluntary sector.”

    Speaker Bio:

    Dr. Jennifer Brennan is the National Contact Point for the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), and is based at the Irish Universities Association. As NCP, Jennifer is responsible for promoting the MSCA to researchers and research-active organisations, and advising applicants. In her role as National Delegate to the MSCA Programme Committee she ensures that Ireland’s priorities are embedded in the MSCA. In addition, she engages in sectoral research policy work for the Irish universities, including projects on research integrity, gender equality, researcher careers and community-engaged research.
